We understand that many questions can arise before, during and after a medical process. That’s why we’ve listed many of our patients’ questions along with answers from our experienced team. WHAT INSURANCE PLANS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We will work with most commercial insurance companies, Medicare, and Maryland Medicaid to get the dermatology care you need. It is up to the insurance company and their contract with the patient to determine how much of a visit is covered. We recommend that you contact your insurance company prior to your visit.

DO I NEED A REFERRAL FOR MY DERMATOLOGY APPOINTMENT?

We do our best to help prepare you for your visit. If you should need a referral for your appointment, please have it faxed to our office 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you are unsure about your own insurance plan, please contact your insurance company.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE INSURANCE?

We have the option to pay cash for our dermatology visits. You may also use funds from you Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account to pay for your visit.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept cash and most major credit cards. You may also pay for your services with your Health Savings Account or your Flexible Spending Account.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

After scheduling an appointment, an email will be sent to you prompting you to create an account in our patient portal. Please correct any demographic information in our system and complete forms:

#5 PATIENT INTAKE FORM-NEW

#6 PRACTICE POLICIES

When you come to your appointment bring your:

-insurance card

-photo ID

-all of your current medications (or a list with dosages).

WHEN DO I NEED TO START BEING SEEN BY DERMATOLOGY?

It is recommended that fair-skinned young adults start annual skin cancer screenings, especially if there is a personal or family history of skin cancer or a history of increased sun exposure or tanning bed use.

HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TO BE SEEN?

The frequency of your dermatology appointments will be discussed with our dermatology providers at your visit and is dependent on your diagnosis and the treatment you receive. Your need for follow up will be communicated to you before the end of your appointment.
